On Monday, September 11, 2017, the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City, Woodmen Life of Yorktown presented a Flag of Honor to honor their city. A memorial flag ceremony was also held before the start of the Yorktown-Randolph football game.
