Pro Street Race on September 11th
September 11th, 2009
We ran our Flag of Heroes on the back of our drag car at a Pro Street Race on September 11th. My boyfriend, Clay, was a rescue worker there and this was our way of remembering those who lost their lives in the events of that day.
He lined up before the start of the race and they announced over the microphone for everyone to turn their engines off. They explained that they were having a moment of silence to remember all that were lost that terrible day and that he would be flying the flag with all of the names. He did a slow drive down the track with Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” playing over the loud speakers. I have also sent you a video of the drive-by.
Thank you for the great work that you have done for this country and for the families of the 9/11 tragedy. Several people have asked me for the link to order their own flag and I gladly passed it along.
Keep up the good work.
