During his Forrest Gump-like journey, Heukemes will carry a canvas tapestry with the names of the nearly 3,000 people who died in New York, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pa., printed as the stripes of the American flag, and will sell copies to raise money for Sept. 11 charities.
